  2. Hello fellow botters and hard-corers alike! Can you believe it our server has been live for 2 months? We thought we would have a repeat of our double event. Brave New World for new Master Accounts and Gift of Vitality for everyone. Staring on July 16th, the date our server has been live for 2 months, these two events will go live.

    We would like to take this opportunity and thank everyone who gave their precious (summer) time to the project. 2 months and still going strong - that's a great achievement for a new, very niche server. And we know it wouldn't have happened without you! Thank you for your feedback, thank you for your reports, thank you for helping by answering questions and helping new-comers. It warms my ice cold heart to see how much our community has grown! ❤️

    We are also working on a couple of new features and an event, but at this point we're not ready to disclose more details. So stay tuned!

    Steve the Vitality wizard you learned to love (or hate) is coming to L2Toggle starting July 16th! Steve is a busy wizard and have to visit many servers, but he promised to stay with us until July 31st. Every char will be able to receive his Vitality Restoring Blessing twice a day (12 hours cooldown). Please note that Vitality Herb and Blessing are sharing same buff slot.

  3. I've decided to not change the current rules.  The two of reasons I've already mentioned:

    If the poll would have been more decisive I might have went with the struggle of changing the rule, but it seems that it's close to 50/50.

    * Baium Manager rework - should respawn correctly now
    * Zaken AI update - it will now require 5% of mana to try to teleport
    * Adjust Antharas Stun cooldown
    * Increase QA damage
    * Nerf Hard Freya stats - would like to hear your feedback on this.
    * Increase Freya drop chances
    * Adjust Frintezza stats
    * Increase Frintezza drop chances
    * Fix Core/Orfen drop IDs
    * Update TW time - push it a bit earlier to 15PM EST - there's a poll and a discussion open about changing the day when TW is happening.
    * .town commands will not be available to characters carrying Territory Ward
    * Fix some missing html in CH/Fortress/Castle
    * ATODs are now tradeable
    * Increase Mark of Betryal drop rate
    * Increase Key of Evil Eye drop rate to 50% -> 80%
    * Increase some buffs duration to 2hours that were missed initially
    + Themi's Tong to luxury store

    Thanks for suggestion, again 🙂 All valid points. As I said, I wish we had this discussion before launch.

    Right now, I'm leaning toward not changing the rule, because of two reasons.
    Not much of a precedent yet, so I'm hoping people will show self control and not ruin it for everyone just to win (talking about "un-counterable" 10+ dds assist).
    The second reason is that we are already live for 1,5 month (Really? 😮 Time flies!) and as everyone can see it will bring drama, even people quitting here and there.

    My goal is to keep a stable and "alive" server for as long as possible and implementing such change could jeopardize that.

    This is in no way final decision!

    I'd like to suggest to go back to the topic at hand. The most compelling points so far were

    • New players entry "cost"
    • 10+ dds assisting making it almost impossible to counter, so pvp become who can target/res faster
    • Major change on live server

    Poll seems to be too close to have a major impact in the decision. Another thing that someone mentioned and I've observed in the "PvP events" is that there hasn't been many cases where someone is handling more than one party right now. So even if we go down the road of changing the rule it will be more of a preventative measure.

    If you can reset that then you can change the rule, until you "can't" reset that you are "NOT ALLOWED" to change features in a 2 month live server.

If "and I feel like I have to make it bigger for some" IF a poll about any subject results are something like 90% vs 10% then Admin should think about how much it will change the game and apply the changes. Any other behaviour on a live server brings in mind homemade servers of 16 years old that wanna have fun.

    So your point is we cannot change anything unless we wipe progress affected by the change? How about changes we do every week? Did official wipe progress every update? 🙂

    This server (not the project) is NOT seasonal, it won't be wiped after 2 months. There will be changes to gameplay, as there were on official. Some will like them, some won't, but there's no way everyone will be happy with every change or decision. You either adapt or move on.

    So far, I've only read a handful of valid points, the rest was just noise 😐 I wish we had this discussion prior to launch. I will leave poll and thread open at least until the weekend. This is NOT a popular vote, meaning the final decision will be made based on votes & feedback.

  10. Wouldn't it work better if you'd make a point why a) is better than b) other then (lack for a better word) attacking a person who's making a suggestion?

    The poll is too close to call, so your feedback will be very important. "You're losing" is not good feedback.

    * Increase offline store duration to 60 days
    * Increase Fates Of Whisper quest chests' duration to 5 minutes
    * Adjust Cursed weapon duration and reduce leveling cost - now it should last between 1 and 3 hours after reaching max stage
    * Fix Castles' walls & doors HP and M.def
    * Reduce Vorpal drop rate from mobs in Lair of Antharas
    + Frintezza's quest item to vote store. We have reports that 4 Supulchers are not properly working, that makes Frintezza's quest impossible to complete
    * Nerf Freya stats - it's still harder than you're probably used to and that's intentional

    Great point. I'll see what I can do. Maybe not disabling the command, because people might not be aware of it and comeback to inventory mess after next session. I think I can add a check if PL inventory is not full as a condition to forward drops.

    Good point. Usually I leave the window in-case something doesn't work in production. The update itself doesn't take more than 5 minutes, but I take extra time to update OS, backup and export logs/DB and restart the machine so it would be more stable. So setting an alarm to come back and turn back on the server doesn't make sense as I need to make sure it's up and stable before announcing it anyway. I understand that it would more professional that way though. How about next time I announce that the downtime is 1 hour, but turn it on when I have to and use the extra time as a safety net in-case something fails?

    IMHO this is what it boils down to. Also, I don't see how killing afk bots is fun for either side.

    Maybe, instead of making it pure pk thing, we should think about making it pure PvE thing?

    Listening to "100% of players" got us here. A lot of time spent discussing, some time spent for changes and testing, and at the end "it was better before any changes". I'm tired of this jumping around, everybody knows there are big issues with files that I'd rather work on instead. I'm leaving it to "1-3 hours" leveled, not because I believe it's the right answer, but because I don't want to spend more time on this. May I suggest creating a poll if you want it to be reset to official?

    Thanks a lot for the feedback and ideas! I know it comes from a passion for the game and from the interest to make this server better.

    Hello there! As far as I know, the only way to obtain and fly wyverns is to be a Castle Owner.
